We decided to visit the botanical garden in March and see how nature comes to life, how flowers bloom, listen to birds singing and just be in silence.
In front of the entrance to the botanical garden, from the village of Chakve there is an apiary, where bees are already buzzing at full speed, during the tourist season you can buy natural and delicious honey here. After admiring the interesting spectacle, we pass to the entrance to the botanical garden.
Here we saw many amazing and beautiful plants. Fedya chose a huge tree completely covered with moss.
Here is a description of some plants that we met in the Botanical Garden:
Magonia is a beautiful shrub with shiny, green leaves and small, lemon flowers gathered in lush inflorescences. Magonia is beautiful at any time of the year, but especially in spring. The subtle aroma evokes thoughts of lily of the valley, the berries of Magonia have a sweet and sour taste reminiscent of Barberry, they can be eaten fresh, added to breakfast cereals, fruit salads. They are used to make drinks, jam and jam are made from these berries. The berry is rare, so the recipe is not too common, but the jam is very tasty. Blooming Magonia is the very personification of the harmony of nature.
Leukotoe is a plant of the Heather family, in nature this shrub is found in Madagascar, East Asia and South America. Some species of this plant are poisonous. Leucotoe got its beautiful name in honor of the goddess Leucothea, which means "white goddess" in Greek. Indeed, during the flowering period, numerous snow-white bell-shaped flowers, somewhat resembling the flowering of our acacia, simply fascinate with their charm and tenderness.
Beshorneria is a green bundle of leaves, from which a bright salute grows a multiple bell—shaped formation, similar to a salute. Beshorneria does not bloom too decoratively, but the contrast of green leaves and bright crimson large buds perfectly sets a person up for a festive mood. This representative of the Agave family is called the Mexican Lily. Like all Agave plants, Beshorneria has medicinal properties, but so far they have been little studied.
Seaside pine. Its bark has deep cracks and looks very decorative.
In the Botanical Garden we saw a lot of natural materials. For example, bamboo, which is just nice to touch. There are also rhododendrons, and the beautiful view of the mountains directly from the botanical garden is fascinating.
Next we pass a place where eucalyptus trees grow, which give us an amazing healing air and aroma. Next, we pass by the Notched-leaved cherry, homemade Nandina, Corylopsis.
Pavlonia Fortune
At home, in China, Paulownia has become one of the national plants, but today it can be found in Europe. The elegance of Paulownia is combined with the high quality of wood. For its attractive appearance and useful properties, in addition to the official name, the tree has received several poetic names.
For example, the Adam's tree, so this plant is called for its resilience, the ability to recover quickly after serious damage, for its unpretentiousness to external conditions.
Paulownia was often grown at the imperial courts, therefore it is also called the Dragon Tree.
The large fibrous leaves of the tree emit a large amount of oxygen into the atmosphere, and the plant surpasses all known deciduous trees in cleaning qualities. Planting an area of 10 hectares per year absorbs almost 300 tons of carbon dioxide and traps a thousand tons of dust. Here is a very useful, beautiful tree.
Ethnographic corner in the Botanical Garden.
Walking further, we pass an ethnographic corner, which presents several models of residential buildings, workshops and other interesting structures.
We walked and enjoyed the spring Botanical Garden. Our walk on the pier ended. Today the sea is raging, very windy and refreshing weather.
We really liked it here, we will be happy to come again.
