Konstantine Gamsakhurdia was a renowned Georgian writer and an academician. He had a Doctorate in Philosophy and won the prestigious State Prize named after Shota Rustaveli. His notable works include "The Smile of Dionysus," "The Capture of the Moon," and "Grand Master Constantine's Right." He received the Rustaveli Prize, the Medal for Heroic Labor during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
