- Description
The Vokzalnaya Square interchange station is a key node in the Tbilisi metro network, connecting the Akhmeteli-Varketili and Saburtalinskaya lines. This is the only transfer hub in the city, opened on January 11, 1966.
The station is located on the Akhmeteli-Varketili line between the Sadguris Moedani and Gotsiridze stations, with three exits: to the station; to the Central Market of Tbilisi; and to the Nadzaladevi area on Tsotne Dadiani Avenue. Until 2011, the station was called "Vagzlis moedani".
Sadguris Moedani-2 station, opened on September 15, 1979, is the terminus on the Saburtalinskaya line and offers a transfer to the Akhmeteli-Varketili line (Sadguris Moedani-1 station). The station has two exits, one of which leads to Tbilisi Central Station, and the other to Tsotne Dadiani Avenue.
Operating time:
- Opening hours: Daily from 6:00 to 00:00.
- Traffic interval: During rush hour - about 2 minutes; in the evening - about 10 minutes.
Payment system:
Tbilisi Metro offers a fare payment system through MetroMoney plastic cards, which are also applicable on city buses.
- MetroMoney cards are available at all metro stations at counters with MS+ symbols.
- Card cost: 2 GEL (refundable deposit).
- Trip price: 50 tetri.
- One card can be used by several passengers.
- The cards are valid on cable cars, but not on the funicular.
- Please note: MetroMoney cards are valid only in Tbilisi.

Os trens podem ser antigos, mas funcionam de forma eficiente. Durante o horário de pico, ficam bastante cheios, mas os intervalos entre os trens não são longos. É possível pagar a entrada com aproximação usando cartão de débito ou crédito. Na saída da estação, há casas de câmbio disponíveis.

This is a classic Soviet-style metro station. The ticketing system is very confusing. When you purchase a day (or period) ticket, you receive a blue plastic card (for 2 GEL), but you can't add money to it for the Narikala ropeway. Instead, you will need to buy a separate white plastic METROMONEY card (also for 2 GEL) and load it with cash. This card can be used for single metro rides as well as the ropeway.

Станция метро (рядом жд вокзал и дезертирский рынок). Станция немного изношена, требует ремонта. Вагоны тоже устарели. Проезд стоит 0,50 тетри, что очень дешево. Надеемся на ремонт станции.

Terrible service. The woman at the counter didn't understand even basic numbers in English and was shouting about everything. Keeping such unprofessional staff at a tourist hotspot only damages the country's reputation.

The area boasts Tbilisi's most extensive transport network, a metro station, and acts as a transit hub on the Saburtalo line.
