The State Museum of Ilya Chavchavadze is located in the city of Kvareli in the family estate of the famous Georgian author, where the great publicist lived for a long time. The museum site covers the Marani wine cellar, a square tower, a family terrace and a garden with fir trees and bamboo.

Throughout his life, the poet participated in the spread of literacy among the people, raising the national consciousness of people and promoted their cohesion, for which he was nicknamed the “uncrowned king of Georgia”.
