Bakery with tonis puri "Maxime's Shoti"
- Description
The tonis puri bakery "Maxime's Shoti" is located in Tbilisi and specializes in baking national Georgian shoti puri bread. This bread has a saber shape and a characteristic hole in the middle. The bakery still uses a traditional Georgian oven called tone, which is a well with brick-lined interior walls. Shoti dough is mixed thickly from flour, water, salt and yeast. The oven is heated to 300 degrees so that the bread gets a crispy crust. The baking process takes only 10–15 minutes.
The bakery is located in a small room, and customers receive bread through the window without going inside. This is a convenient place for those who want to try real Georgian bread prepared using traditional technology. Maxime's Shoti Bakery is ideal for culinary travelers, lovers of traditional cuisine and anyone who appreciates quality bread. Visit us to enjoy the taste of Georgia!

Bread is served piping hot and tasty at any hour. A loaf costs 1.20 GEL. The experience was delightful, and the owner is a kind and gentle elderly woman who speaks basic English to help you buy bread. The process is straightforward: you enter, say how many loaves you want, and pay in cash. You get fresh, stone-baked puri to take with you. Highly recommend.

Продавщица предлагает традиционный грузинский хлеб, всё очень по-старому, не стоит рассчитывать на особый сервис. Хлеб вкусный, вероятно, приду снова.
