The church structure, rising from stone, bears traces of reconstruction in the 10th-12th centuries, as evidenced by the imprints of the plaster frescoes and ornamental facing stones.

An artificial trench 4 meters wide flows around the complex, like an additional castle to protect and preserve this pearl of history.
