Niko Nikoladze House Museum
- Description
Georgian poet and publicist, public figure Niko Nikoladze in 1886, together with his wife and daughter, moved to the village of Didi Jihaishi. It was in the family estate that a museum was established in 1947, which stores more than a thousand exhibits telling about the writer's work.
Of interest is not only the family estate, but also the household premises on the territory of the museum: a barn for grain storage, an ornamental garden and a stable.
In the exhibition hall of the two-storey residential building there are memorial items of the Nikoladze family: a library with old books, original printed publications, portraits, jewelry and photographs.
The estate was built in 1910 according to the project of the foreign architect Heinrich Frick. At the beginning of the XX century, an agricultural school functioned in the estate, later Niko's wife opened a women's gymnasium, which was the only educational institution for girls in the village in the Russian Empire.

Отличный музей превосходного человека, но администрация, в лице "Мако" делает все, что бы оттолкнуть туристов. Вероятно, работать в их планы не входит, а туристы рассматриваются только как мешающие отдыхать на рабочем месте.
