Inexpensive car rental "Dima's Car Rent"

Ощущение доброжелательности и комфорта, как только связался с этими ребятами. Весь процесс аренды прошел гладко, без лишних вопросов. Машина была чистой и надежной, как новенькая. Никаких проблем на дороге. Цена приятно удивила. Определенно обращусь сюда снова, когда буду в Кутаиси.

Ездил на арендованной тачке от Димы — кайф! Мотор урчит, салон чистенький, все комфортно и на своем месте. Просто сел и поехал, никаких заморочек. Лично мне понравилось, точно буду забирать у них машины еще раз.

Когда встретила Диму с мимолетной надеждой на достойный автомобиль за адекватные деньги, ожидания превзошли реальность. Работая наверняка, он сразу активно помогал, отвечая даже на самые мелкие вопросы, и даже приехал к нам. Машина — настоящая находка! Отпуск стал незабываемым в этом мощном и надежном авто. Приятно удивило, что все прошло гладко, без лишней суеты. Однозначно рекомендую и благодарю за отличный сервис!

Компания просто ужасная. Машина встала колом в горах, а они пытались нас обвинить и требовали 500 евро за её повторное включение. Никакой поддержки, в итоге шесть часов потеряного времени и куча нервов. Даже частичное возмещение не спасло впечатления. Никому не рекомендую связываться.

During our recent trip to Georgia, we had a troubling experience with Dima’s Car Rent, connected through Local Rent.

Payment Issues: Despite our agreement to pay with a credit card, Dima’s Car Rent insisted on cash payments. They cited various issues with their payment terminal—first claiming it was crashed, then damaged, and finally lost. This was our first red flag.

At pickup, Dima was late and handled the paperwork poorly, taking far longer than necessary for tasks that should have only taken a few minutes. He included a clause in the rental agreement prohibiting travel from Mestia to Ushguli, which we had no intention of doing.

Car Malfunction and Extortion: While in Mestia, the Toyota Prius wouldn’t start. We initially thought it was a dead battery, as the car’s interior lights and headlights were dim. When we contacted Dima’s Car Rent, they showed no concern and accused us of violating rental terms by traveling to restricted areas. In reality, they had used a remote kill switch to deactivate the car as an extortion tactic, demanding €500 to reactivate it.

This attempt to exploit our situation was particularly egregious given that the GPS data they provided to Local Rent showed we never left Mestia. According to Local Rent, Dima’s Car Rent claimed they were worried we "might" go to restricted areas, which led them to deactivate the vehicle remotely.

Inadequate Support: Local Rent responded slowly, focusing on collecting evidence rather than addressing the urgent need for assistance. Their approach only added to our frustration.

Resolution: After six stressful hours, we exposed the extortion attempt, and the car was reactivated. Local Rent eventually offered a partial refund for one day, though they disputed the actual downtime.

Final Verdict: Avoid Dima’s Car Rent at all costs. The unethical practices of Dima’s Car Rent, including their attempt to extort €500 by remotely deactivating the car, significantly disrupted our trip. The lack of support from both Dima’s Car Rent and Local Rent means we cannot recommend either company. What should have been a highlight of our travels ended up as a major disappointment.
