Bar "Empire"

The hotel has its charm but is outdated. Things tend to break often. The elevator is unreliable—sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. On the final day, the air conditioning system broke down across the entire hotel. The room temperature matched the outside at 31°C, making it impossible to sleep, and I found myself constantly running to the shower. The first room they assigned had a non-functional air conditioner and an unpleasant smell, so they moved us to another room promptly. Once, we returned from a walk to find the hotel door locked from the outside. There was no sign or contact number. It turned out the receptionist had gone for lunch, leaving us stranded outside for 15 minutes. Half of the lights in the room didn’t work, some lacked bulbs, the closet doors were hard to open, and things were constantly falling apart. The curtains weren't blackout, so the sun streamed in easily, and they barely covered the window. Rooms facing the street offered a lovely view of the old town, but the noise was unbearable. A bar opposite with an open balcony played extremely loud music from 7 PM to 1-2 AM. Cars with roaring engines added to the disturbance. The windows lacked proper insulation, making every sound feel like it was happening right beside you. However, there are rooms facing the other direction, which are presumably quieter. The staff was friendly, and the hotel decor was calm, surpassing most places we’ve seen. There were no breakfast services or daily cleaning, and the room lacked utensils and a kettle. The reception did assist with arranging airport transfer.

We arrived at the hotel around 9:00 PM with a confirmed reservation, only to find out it was canceled. The staff didn’t notify us beforehand, leaving us to find a place to stay in a foreign city at night. The manager claimed it wasn’t their responsibility and refused to help.

Our reservation was not honored, even though it was completely legitimate. The manager was unfriendly and uncooperative. It's better to steer clear of this place.

Отель дополняет чистота и уют, мы разместились с семьёй в двух номерах. Хоть правила и запрещают курение, один из номеров оказался прокуренным. В номерах есть минибары, но не предусмотрена посуда. Парковка общественная, и обычно с ней нет проблем, за исключением вечера.

Атмосфера просто завораживает.

Mooie buitenkant. Goede koffie. Kamers zijn beneden peil. Vuil, schimmel in de douche. Beddengoed tekort voor het matras.

Great place to stay: neat, well-kept, and conveniently situated. The staff are incredibly accommodating. The breakfast is also satisfying.
