The former parliament building in Kutaisi - a new turn in history and a future technohub ⚙️
- Description
The former building of the Georgian Parliament, located in Kutaisi, has become a symbol of the country's political transformation. Since 2012, when the legislative body finally returned to Tbilisi, the monumental building on David Agmashenebeli Avenue has been left without a permanent function.
In 2025, a technology center will open here - a large-scale project supervised by the Innovation and Technology Agency of Georgia under the Ministry of Economy. It will be a modern space for startups, IT companies and young professionals. The project is financed by the state budget, and the total investment will exceed 12 million GEL.
The building was once built for 326 million GEL and caused a public outcry. Today, it is once again gaining importance - no longer as a parliament, but as a center for the future and technology.
