On its territory there are: a fortress wall (erected in 1753 by order of Tsar Heraclius II) and the royal palace (erected in the 60s of the XVII century by order of Tsar Archil; in 1865, the St. Nino Women's School opened in this building and the palace was converted into a three-story building; currently, there is a museum here), a bathhouse (in the southern part of the territory, only a bathhouse and a boiler room have survived to this day; the walls of the bathhouse were painted) and two churches (a small church and the court church of Heraclius II, which was erected in 1758; this church served as a fortress at the same time; there are loopholes under the roof). To the southeast of the citadel, ten meters away from it, there is a large column (14 meters in diameter). On it, until the forties of the XIX century, there was a 7.5-meter-long cannon.
