Its uniqueness lies in the special combination of hydrocarbonates, magnesium and calcium, as well as natural carbon dioxide, which give the water a unique mild taste.

There are three exploitation sites of mineral water: the central (within the town of Borjomi), Likani (on the territory of Likani) and Vashlovani - Kvibisi (on the territory of the village of Vashlovani and Kvibisi). The resort is perfect for lovers of quiet rest, enjoyment of medical procedures and recreation after a hard day's work. It is famous not only for its mineral springs but also for its beautiful forest park. Located between the mountains and on the bank of the Kura River, the park surprises with its variety of vegetation. In the forest park you can find century-old oaks and conifers, and enjoy the view of squares with ornamental plants. In the center of the park is the Palace of the Romanovs, built in 1892-1895 at the request of Grand Duke Nikolai Mikhailovich Romanov for his brother, the Russian Emperor Alexander II. The palace is in the Moorish style and is distinguished by its original architecture - it has different shapes on different sides. The halls in the palace are also original in style. In 1898, the first hydroelectric power station in the Russian Empire was built on the Borjomula River to provide the palace with electricity. The seven buildings of the complex, where the palace is located, are a true work of architecture.

Likani is a resort town, located in the suburbs of Borjomi, at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level. It is located in a mountainous area, where the climate is subtropical, with mild winters and snowy precipitation, and very warm summers. The average temperature in January is about 2 degrees Celsius, and in August it is 16 degrees Celsius. The amount of rainfall here is about 800 mm per year, and the relative humidity is between 65-70%. The amount of sunshine here is also quite high and amounts to about 2200 hours per year. The therapeutic factors of the resort are associated with its climate, which has the properties of the climate of the low mountains. There are mineral waters, which contain calcium, sodium, silicic acid and in small amounts compounds of arsenic and phosphorus. Total mineralization of waters is 3.5-4.5 g/dm³, and their flow rate is 20 thousand liters per day. Balneological procedures are carried out, including baths, showers and inhalations. Internal consumption of mineral waters and climatotherapy are also practiced here. The resort is indicated for the treatment of diseases of the digestive system and pulmonary tuberculosis in its active form. All this makes the resort a great place for treatment and relaxation, where people can combine staying in the natural environment and medical therapy.
