The Sachkhera Museum of Local Lore operates in the village of Shvitori, in the "mother" garden of Akaki Tsereteli.
Back in 1857 in the newspaper "Droeba" (Time) brotherAkakia Tsereteli,ДAvid Tsereteli, wrote about the accidentally discovered gold products in Sachkhera on the slope of the "Todadze Fortress". Later, Georgy Tsereteli, Ekvtime Takaishvili, Boris Kuftin, Otar Japaridze and others were engaged in research work.
The museum houses the cane of Academician Boris Kuftin, a rich archaeological collection: loop-shaped hairpins, rings, buckles, pottery, barrel tips, bayonet-shaped weapons, tubular axes of the Sachher type, bow fasteners, disc-shaped pins, etc.
According to Vakhushti Batonishvili, the village of Sachkhere is located on the road running from west to East, which crossed the Licht-Imereti Mountain through the Cherathevi Gorge. The famous French traveler Jean Chardin and European missi in their notes on trade routes coming from India and Iran point to this route.
Since its foundation (1978), the museum has ethnographic buildings and structures: an oblong house, a marani (wine cellar), a barn and a granary for corn, a variety of wood products, metappa, ceramics and fabrics characteristic of ethnographic life. Among the collections of the religious book fund of the museum, an important value is the Book of Prayers donated for the Trinity of St. Chihi. A Dositea with the text of the manuscript made by him, and a Gospel dated 1822, printed in the printing house of the royal court of Imereti, etc.

Здесь можно увидеть огромное количество интересных старинных артефактов, такие как, трость Бориса Куфтина, старинные кольца, пряжки, глиняную посуду, стволовый наконечник, трубчатые топоры и многое другое. Музей основан в 1978 году.
