The Khrami Gorge gets its name from the river of the same name that flows through it.
The Khrami River or Ktsia forms a valley in eastern Georgia, included in municipalities such as Kvemo Kartli and Tetritskaro. The upper part of the river is called the Ktsia. The Khrami begins on the slopes of the Trialeti mountain range and carries its waters through some of Georgia's most beautiful places. The river is mostly fed by snow. It remains ice-free in all seasons of the year.
Georgia's landmarks, like the Khrami River, are sometimes used for agricultural purposes. The Tsalka Reservoir has been built on the river, and three hydroelectric power plants have been built.
