Beautiful house-museums of famous personalities of Georgia. Vakhtang Chabukiani Memorial House-Museum.
Vakhtang Chabukiani Memorial House-Museum - an exhibition in the house dedicated to the famous Georgian dancer. The house exhibits the most important collections of photographs reflecting the dancer's childhood and youth. There are many rooms with Vakhtang's belongings. We advise to definitely visit this place.
The Vakhtang Chabukiani Memorial House-Museum was founded in 1992, although it was officially opened on International Dance Day, April 29, 2003.
During this period there were two memorial rooms displaying the balleron's personal belongings: furniture, a library, a grand piano. The exhibits were donated to the museum by Chabukiani's niece Tamara Gordon from her personal collection.
The opening of the exhibition hall was specially timed to coincide with Vakhtang Chabukiani's birthday, February 27, 2007. The most important photo collection is on display here. There are thematically arranged photos reflecting his childhood and the roles he played. His stage costumes are also on display here. At the end of the hall is a small stage, and in the middle of it is a life-size photo of Chabukiani, which depicts the balleron performing one of his pas.
The museum often organizes exhibitions and various evenings and hosts foreign officials. The tranquility and somewhat theatrical environment that prevails here are in harmony with each other.
