This museum-reserve unites archeological monuments of national and world significance: Samtavro archeological site (II millennium BC - early Middle Ages), Armaztsikhe-Bagineti - the Acropolis of Mtskheta and the residence of the kings of Kartli (Iberia) (I c. BC - VIII AD), Armaziskhevi - the residence of Pitiakhshi (rulers, and also of the kings of the Armenian SSR), and a number of other monuments. A.D.
