Vahan Teryan is a famous Armenian poet. In his house-museum in Georgia there are personal memorabilia of the poet, photographs and documentary materials that convey the history of Vahan's life and work, you will see old manuscripts, paintings, sculptures and much more.

The museum has memorabilia of the Armenian poet Vahan Teryan, photos and documentary materials related to his life and work. He translated into Armenian the works of Akaki Tsereteli, Emil Verharn, Charles Baudelaire, Oscar Wilde, Heinrich Heine, Valery Bryusov and others.
Vahan Teryan is considered a special phenomenon in Armenian poetry. He is referred to as "the most brilliant master of pure Armenian lyrics, who had neither a literary ancestor nor a literary heir of his scale." Vahan Teryan lived only 35 years, however, despite this, he left a rich treasure to Armenian literature.
Born and raised in Georgia, Vahan Teryan published his first book in Georgia, in Tbilisi, in 1908. He wrote memoirs of his meeting with Akaki Tsereteli in Moscow. Of particular note is his translation of the prologue "The Knight in the Tiger's Skin". His teacher Niko Marr called this translation "a piece of the sun".
The museum was founded in 1957.
