The Alexander Gzirishvili Museum was founded in 1983 in the village of Vakiri, Signagi Municipality, with the aim of preserving the memory of the great Georgian scientist, surgeon and urologist. 🌿

Alexander Gzirishvili (1902–1972) was an outstanding specialist in the field of urology, a doctor of medical sciences and a professor, whose scientific achievements left an indelible mark on medicine. After graduating from the Medical Faculty of Tbilisi University in 1928, he began his career in medicine and surgery. From 1939 to 1972, he was the head of the urology department of the Central Clinical Hospital. 👨⚕️
