In the very center of Georgia – in Tbilisi, there is a reservoir. Due to its large area, the reservoir was named the "Tbilisi Sea". The artificial lake is located in the Iori Valley, in the northeast of the city. Previously, there were salt lakes in this territory: Kukkia, Avlabari and Ilgunyan.
The Tbilisi reservoir should be stretched in a north-westerly direction, the length from the northern to the eastern shore is 8.75 km, the width is much smaller – only 1.85 km. The total area is 11.6 km. The reservoir is deep enough, the maximum depth is 45 m, the average is 26 m.
The sights of Georgia are carefully guarded, and the space nearby is being developed for a more accessible and pleasant visit. The infrastructure has become much better in recent years, thanks to which this place has become popular among locals and tourists, and for a reason, there is something to see in Georgia.

For a comfortable pastime, the park is constantly cleaned and kept in order. The Tbilisi Sea is justifiably ranked among the most beautiful places in Georgia.
In the middle of the 20th century, a pair of obelisks were installed on one side of the Tbilisi Sea. They are dedicated to the discovery of the reservoir.
