Those who are looking for something to see in Georgia will like the route passing through the villages of the village of Shkmeri, Mount Hihata and going to the village of Mravaldzali.

Pay attention to the seasonality. After all, the best time to travel along this route is the end of spring (May), summer and the beginning of autumn (September, October).

The starting point of the route is the outskirts of the village of Shkmeri, which is located near the Heori River. Part of the route will go up, as we are heading to Mount Hihatu. The journey will take place in the Sachkhere district, and the closest village to us will be Uzunta. The first part of the route will be completely identical to the path from the village of Shkmeria to Uzunta.

As soon as we climb to the top of Mount Hihata, we will have a stunning panorama in all directions. Along the way, always pay attention to where you are stepping, as there are many karst craters here.

By the way, there is a geodesic triangulator on this mountain. The second part of the way already coincides with the road to the village of Mravaldzali. Here is the Church of St. George, which dates back to the 11th century. And in the 19th century, a dome was built for the temple. The inscriptions and, in part, the decor have been preserved since those times.

The track is very beautiful, but for an overnight hike, stock up on enough water.
