A fascinating place with a deep history, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff was great too.

Это место позорит свое имя. Огромный комплекс с богатой историей сейчас, похоже, работает только для посетителей, которые приходят на день для плавания. Аквапарк не работает, и на их сайте или в системе бронирования нет никакого уведомления об этом.

С радостью ставлю этому отелю 5 звезд за впечатления. Это не роскошный отель, так что не ждите изысканной элегантности. Лучше приезжайте ради истории, атмосферы и приключений. Бродить по его бесконечным коридорам — как будто попадаешь в другую эпоху, с укромными уголками, которые ждут, чтобы их открыли. Нам понравилось исследовать старый театр, красивый коридор с окнами и заброшенные части здания. Номер был комфортным, завтрак обильным и вкусным, а вся поездка ощущалась как путешествие в душу Тскалтубо. Обязательно стоит посетить, если хотите уникально узнать его историю.

Мы отдыхали в санатории с 4 по 23 июня. Прошли комплексное лечение и дополнительные процедуры. Работа медицинского персонала на высоком уровне, большое спасибо всем за отличное выполнение своих обязанностей. Питание организовано хорошо, много фруктов и ягод, что важно, они доступны с утра до вечера. Вопросы на рецепции решались легко и с пониманием к желаниям гостей. Реконструкция санатория продолжается и еще много работы впереди. Возможно, не стоит пытаться сохранить прежнюю роскошь санатория МОССССР? Сайт устарел и предлагает услуги, которые отсутствуют (фото ниже), возможно, это обман клиентов? Компания, через которую я делал заказ, после моего звонка к представителю, просто сказала, что это ошибка, и убрала этот пункт с сайта - речь о "все включено". Стоит ли ехать в Цхалтубо? Определенно да. В этот санаторий? Будем следить за их развитием. Желаем удачи!

I received a full refund for my stay, but that doesn't change the fact that this hotel has many undisclosed problems. I did my research beforehand and knew it was old and "rustic," but I was expecting a better experience at a place marketed as a spa and resort. Here’s what I found:

1. The air conditioning didn’t work at all, even after running it for hours.
2. There was no hot water—none at all. The room felt broken, not rustic; my balcony door nearly fell off its hinges.
3. The property was in terrible condition with heaps of trash and waste everywhere.
4. The pool was drained and not usable.
5. They were remodeling parts of the hotel, which was inconveniently located right in my block of rooms. The workers were frustrated with guests trying to access their rooms.
6. There was a line of complaints at the front desk, but the staff offered excuses and didn’t take responsibility for the issues.

When I went to the front desk to address the lack of air conditioning and hot water, I witnessed another guest complaining about smoke in a non-smoking area. The staff's response was that they couldn't do anything and would talk to a manager later. When I mentioned the hot water issue, they admitted they were aware and it "might" be fixed soon. When I brought up the air conditioning, the staff member seemed uninterested and distracted by her phone.

After waiting around, another staff member finally acknowledged my complaints, but when I suggested a refund due to the heat, they indicated the hotel couldn't do much because of town-wide electricity issues. After some back and forth, they agreed to refund me.

It seems the real problem is that the air conditioning and other facilities are in disrepair, and they likely don’t have the means or organization to fix things properly.

In summary, while the property has historical charm, it’s not worth staying here. You might be able to explore the grounds for a small fee, but don’t expect a genuine resort or spa experience, or even a functional room. If you can manage without those amenities, it might be slightly better than camping.

Podróż do lat 60-70. Wtedy ten obiekt musiał robić wrażenie. Można zobaczyć pozostałości jego monumentalności w części, która została odrestaurowana i przekształcona w hotel. Sam hotel jest przeciętny, a ceny są absurdalnie wysokie jak na ten standard i niedociągnięcia (zepsuty prysznic, wypaczone drzwi do łazienki, które się nie zamykają, kiepski telewizor). Historia tego miejsca ratuje sytuację.

I spent a night at a former Soviet-era sanatorium, which was quite an experience. I loved wandering around the property, especially in the unrestored areas that showed its history. Breakfast was decent.

The decor is quite dated and could use some updating. The toilet had flushing issues, and the staff didn’t seem very focused on service, which added to the Soviet-era vibe.

Mais quel choc cet hôtel ! C’est vraiment incroyable ! Penser que Staline a vécu ici, c’est fou. Ils font vraiment de gros efforts pour garder l'hôtel vivant, il faut les soutenir. Les chambres sont super. Le buffet du midi et le petit déjeuner sont très bien. Soyez curieux et demandez au personnel, il y a des endroits secrets dans l'hôtel 🙈.

Это место в Цхалтубо, сохранившее дух и атмосферу советских санаториев, действительно уникально. Еда здесь разнообразная, полезная и очень вкусная. Чистота и спокойствие радуют, а сотрудники просто замечательные и стараются изо всех сил 🫶🏼

This place doesn't feel like a typical hotel. You can't park nearby because it might spoil wedding photos, even though the people taking photos aren't staying there. So, you end up parking far away and dragging your luggage through rain and mud. The staff are friendly, but with so many weddings, moving around the stairs and halls can be tricky. It feels more like a wedding venue where guests are an afterthought. Rooms are okay, simple and a bit worn out but not uncomfortable. The buffet is convenient and tasty, but you need to grab tea bags during meals since there aren't any in the rooms.
