გულო თერმული კურორტი თბილისის ცენტრში / Gulo Thermal Resort in the center of Tbilisi

I have been visiting this thermal spa since my first trips to Georgia about 15 years ago. It has been beautifully renovated over the years while maintaining the authentic atmosphere of the Tbilisi baths. The team does a great job managing the lively mix of guests, making the experience very vibrant. I highly recommend trying the tea with homemade fruit jams and lemon. 100% recommended.

לקחנו חדר פרטי לזוג. החדר כולל: חדר הלבשה, מקלחת, חדר גדול עם 2 בריכות: אחת עם מים חמים גופרית ואחת עם מים קרים (כנראה רגילים), וגם שירותים. התקשרנו ואמרו שאין צורך להזמין מראש. כשגענו, נכנסנו מיד. המקום נקי עם אווירה אותנטית. יש אפשרות לשירותים נוספים בתשלום, כמו מגבות, טיפול, קרצוף, אבל לא השתמשנו בזה. המחיר היה 150 לארי לזוג לשעה.

You don’t really get a full hour because they run behind schedule and hurry you out. There are extra charges for towels and other things. They say they take cards but then push you to pay in cash. It’s a sulphur bath, so I should have expected the strong smell of the water, but it still caught me off guard—my bad!

This place is outstanding! The staff is incredible and the facilities are top-notch. They were very professional and accommodating, especially since we arrived early. We never felt rushed and left feeling fantastic. If you find yourself in this beautiful city, make sure to check it out. I promise you’ll feel amazing afterwards!

The worst experience ever! We were told to leave in just half an hour when we had paid for a full hour. I strongly recommend that foreigners avoid this place as the owners are incredibly rude. They lie and cheat, and the atmosphere is very unwelcoming. There are local touts who lure people in with promises of cleanliness and courteous staff, but I can assure you, that is not the case at all!

We are genuine customers at this location. We arrived at 7:10 pm and were informed that our sulphur bath would last until 8:10 pm. Unfortunately, we were constantly interrupted starting at 7:40 pm and were told to leave by 7:50 pm because other guests had arrived early. The staff even barged into our private room, started handling our belongings, and insisted we "get out" at 7:55 pm.

While I would recommend the sulphur bath itself, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other options nearby, and any tourist or local should consider a more customer-friendly establishment.
