ყავის სახლი "ყავა LAB (ფალიაშვილის ქ. 24)"

This spot had the best sandwich in Tbilisi: the Chicken Sandwich. Just that alone deserves a 10/10, even without considering the service and atmosphere. Sadly, that sandwich is no longer available, marking the end of an era. But all good things must eventually come to a close.

Tolles Café. Es gibt Kaffee aus verschiedenen Regionen, jeder hat seinen eigenen Charakter. Der kolumbianische Kaffee hat mir besonders gut geschmeckt. Dazu gibt es Eggs Benedict in verschiedenen leckeren Variationen. Der Lachs war frisch und aromatisch, und die Variante mit langsam gegartem Rindfleisch bringt eine interessante Wendung. Die Atmosphäre ist insgesamt entspannt und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

The staff is very accommodating, and the food and coffee are good.

Fair but has room for improvement to reach its potential.

COFFEE - The coffee itself is the biggest disappointment (I've tried several locations). It has a burnt, bitter taste that overshadows any coffee aromas. Lattes and cappuccinos are served lukewarm, and oat lattes are so sour that the milk nearly curdles. 1 out of 5 stars. They prioritize appearance over quality. Other places do it much better.

VENUE - The space is lovely, with both downstairs and upstairs areas, plus a garden terrace. It feels chic, cozy, and exclusive, with private nooks.

FOOD - The presentation is appealing, but the flavors fall flat. Too much sugar and salt hide the lack of finesse. The Tom Yam Soup misses the tangy tamarind flavor, tasting more like a sweet instant meal with Ramen noodles, which don't belong in it. The Eggs Benedict on brioche features dry, bland brioche and a weak Hollandaise sauce on lukewarm poached eggs.

SERVICE - Varies by location, but here, the waitstaff seemed inattentive even with few customers (the service is better at another location).

VIBE - Good for remote workers.

OVERALL - A beautiful venue that still needs to realize its full potential. It requires better quality control, staff training, consistency, and improved ingredients to fulfill its aspirations as a top coffee spot. It could be much better. Three stars for the location and presentation.

სერვისი საშინელი იყო, 30 წუთი არავინ არ შეგვიხედავს სანამ დავიწყეთ კამათი მიმტანებთან. უნდა გავითვალისწინოთ, რომ კაფეში სულ 3-4 კლიენტი ვიყავით და მიმტანები რამდენჯერმე შეგვიმჩნევდნენ.

ფასების მიხედვით, უკეთესი შეიძლება ყოფილიყო.

The service varies; some staff are cheerful, while others are not as friendly. It's not a big issue for me, but a little smile goes a long way. The coffee here offers the best value for money in the neighborhood, and the baristas clearly know what they're doing.
