I rented a gravel bike for a trip from Kutaisi to Mestia. The bike was in excellent condition and came with a rear bag, spare tube, and tools for any potential repairs. The service was outstanding.

I wanted to rent a bicycle for two days and had agreed on a specific price and pickup time with the company representative via WhatsApp. The communication was very positive, and they were open to negotiating the price, which is a plus and why I give 2 stars instead of 1. However, upon arrival, I discovered that I had to leave my ID or passport as a physical deposit to rent the bike. While I don't suspect the company of having bad intentions or trying to misuse my document, I'm not comfortable leaving my ID anywhere, especially in a foreign country. Additionally, payment is required upfront, which is understandable, but they also ask you to sign an agreement stating that in case of theft or damage, regardless of the circumstances, I must cover the full cost of the bicycle. This price isn't specified anywhere, making it unacceptable for me. With all due respect to Georgia, it's a country where road collisions can easily happen, and if I were hypothetically at fault, I'd still have to pay for damages. Finally, when I asked if the bike was insured or if I could buy insurance, the answer was no. Given these risks, I decided against renting. As for the price, renting a bicycle for two days is about the same as renting an SUV for one day.
