Georgian State Electric System JSC (GSE) is the only operator of the electricity transmission system in Georgia, ensuring reliable and efficient transmission of electricity throughout the country. The company's headquarters is located in Zestafoni.
GSE operates a network comprising 4,382.66 km of transmission lines and 93 substations, the maintenance of which is carried out through four regional networks: East, West, South and Kakheti. The company is managed by the National Dispatch Center.
As an important element of the country's energy infrastructure, the GSE also manages cross-border lines connecting Georgia with Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan, which promotes regional cooperation and security of energy supply.
GSE's core services include planning and coordination of electricity production and consumption, provision of access to the transmission network, and development and support of transmission networks - the construction of new cross-border and domestic transmission lines and substations, their modernization and operation.
The company provides services to distribution companies and direct consumers, which makes it a key link in ensuring stable and safe energy supplies in the country. GSE is managed by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
