Spring with drinking water "Royal Spring | Batoni Spring (XVII century)"
- Description
The drinking water spring "Royal Spring | Batoni Spring (XVII century)" is located in the center of Telavi, on Erekle II Square. This is a historical architectural monument, built in the 17th century, which still retains its original shape and purpose. The spring was built from Georgian bricks and cobblestones using lime mortar and decorated with tiles. A high brick arch with buttress and parapet, as well as a retaining wall made of a mixed pile of cobblestones and bricks, give this place a special architectural bearing.
The Batoni spring is not only a historical site, but also a functional structure where you can get clean drinking water. A staircase leads to the source from the street, making it easily accessible to all visitors. The architectural style of the source is reminiscent of the Telavi Gate of the 17th-18th centuries, which makes it even more valuable from the point of view of cultural heritage.
A visit to the “Royal Spring” will be of interest to both historians and architects, as well as ordinary tourists and local residents. The Batoni source is a striking example of medieval Georgian architecture and evidence of the centuries-old history of the city of Telavi. It is recommended to include this site in your walking route around the city to better understand its cultural and historical context.

Чистейшая вода, приятная на вкус. Часто прихожу сюда в выходной, чтобы наполнить бутылку. Место тихое и красивое, ни разу не встретил очередей. Настоящая находка в Телави, особенно жарким летним днем. Рекомендую!
