Sarajishvili metro station, which is part of the Akhmeteli-Varketili line of the Tbilisi metro, combines modernity and respect for history. Opened on January 7, 1989, the station initially bore the name "Guramishvili", which was later transferred to the neighboring station, and the station itself was renamed in honor of the outstanding Georgian scientist, entrepreneur and philanthropist David Sarajishvili.
The architectural style of the station is made in light colors, creating an atmosphere of space and light. A special feature of the station is the presence of monitors on the ceiling, which adds a modern element to the overall design. For the convenience of passengers, there is one exit located in the southern part of the station.
The operating hours of the Sarajishvili station include daily service from 6:00 to 00:00. Passengers can expect train intervals of about 2 minutes during peak hours and about 10 minutes in the evening.
The fare payment system in the Tbilisi metro is focused on comfort and convenience. Passengers can use MetroMoney plastic cards, which are suitable not only for traveling on the subway, but also on city buses. These cards are available for purchase at all metro stations and are marked with a special MS+ sign. It is important to note that MetroMoney cards are only valid in Tbilisi. The cost of one trip is 50 tetri, and the card itself costs 2 lari (with the possibility of returning the deposit). In addition, one card can be used by several passengers. However, it is worth considering that the card is not valid on the funicular, although it is applicable on the city’s cable cars.
Thus, the Sarajishvili metro station is not only an important node of the city transport network, but also a place where the history and modernity of Tbilisi are intertwined.

Obok wyjścia stacji można znaleźć różne stragany, gdzie dostępne są świeże warzywa, piekarnie i małe sklepy. Sama stacja wraz z wyjściem nosi wyraźne ślady upływu czasu, ale to nie psuje pozytywnego wrażenia.

Проехался я однажды на этой станции, и как только вышел из вагона, подошёл вор и попытался меня ограбить. Забрал сигареты и мелочь, потом затолкнул обратно в вагон и попытался выстрелить. Даже другого пассажира задел. Жизнь полна сюрпризов!

Payment is only possible with a card that works for all types of local transport and costs 2 GEL to obtain. It can be refunded within a month if you have the receipt and ID. Students enjoy a special rate of 0.20 GEL with their card.

Обычная атмосфера подземки, все работает как надо. Станция чистая и ухоженная, но иногда попадается мусор. Интерьер ничем не выделяется, все как и в других местах. Персонал вежливый, но не всегда внимательный. В целом — приятный опыт, но есть куда стремиться.
