It's nice.

I was surprised by how deep the metro stations are. The escalators and trains operate at high speeds, and there are frequent train services even during off-peak times. Navigating is straightforward with signs in both Georgian and English. Photos aren’t allowed, but I managed to take a few when security wasn’t around. No need for a metro money card; you can use your credit card to board the trains.

The filthiest subway I’ve ever experienced.

Метро очень быстрое, но немного старое. Спускаешься глубоко под землю. В отличие от нашего, эскалаторы здесь очень быстрые, и если не быть внимательным, можно попасть в аварию.

However, it can get quite crowded, which might take away from the experience a little. Overall, it's a captivating place to explore.

Be careful of pickpockets here. I caught someone trying to undo my vest. They scurried away like sewer rats.

We were near Liberty Square, and the metro stations in Tbilisi had the most impressive escalators. They were incredibly long and deep. It was a unique experience for us.

For exploring the city center, the station is excellent, as it’s close to the Liberty Square monument and even within walking distance to the Bridge of Peace. Watch out when using the escalators—they’re really steep and the doors open before the train comes to a complete stop. The area is kept very clean, and you'll usually see a security guard around.

The main metro station in Tbilisi is conveniently linked to a shopping mall. It's a must-visit, especially during the Christmas season, if you're exploring the city.

Liebe Reisende, bei der nächsten Metrostation solltet ihr euch eine Travel Card besorgen und gleich für die Dauer eures Aufenthalts aufladen. Ein Monat kostet nur 40 Lari (ca. 14,20 €), und damit könnt ihr neben der Metro auch alle Busse, Minibusse und sogar die Gondel nutzen. Die Karte selbst kostet 2 Lari (0,70 €) und kann an vielen Aufladestationen in der Stadt flexibel aufgeladen und an andere weitergegeben werden. Viel Spaß in Tbilissi.
