The metro station on the Akhmeteli-Varketili line in Tbilisi opened on January 11, 1966. The architecture is notable, with a vestibule and passenger hall featuring a lot of glass and decorative elements. The space is divided by rectangular pilasters made of light-gray marble, and the floor is covered with gray granite tiles. Although there's only one entrance from Dadiani Street, it leads you into an aesthetically pleasing environment. There's a beautiful mural of old Tbilisi on the wall outside the vestibule. Inside the passenger hall, artist A. Gurgenidze has created another eye-catching mural depicting city motifs. Previously, there was a revolution-themed panel by artist N. Ignatov, but it was removed in 1993. A major renovation took place in 2007. While the design and art pieces add charm, the singular entrance might be slightly inconvenient during busy times. Overall, it's a well-maintained and artistic station that offers a pleasant commuting experience.
