Metro station "300 Aragvintsev" (pronounced "Samasi Aragveli" in Georgian), located on the Akhmeteli-Varketili line, opened on November 6, 1967. The station, located in the Avlabari region, is named in honor of the 300 Aragvin warrior heroes who died in the Battle of Krtsanisi in 1795.

The underground lobby of the station, lined with white marble, is decorated with a relief image of 300 Aragvinians. The station project was developed by architects T. Tevzadze (ground vestibule) and G. Batiashvili. The construction work was carried out by the Tbilkalakproekt organization.

Operating time:

  • Opening hours: Daily from 6:00 to 00:00.
  • Traffic interval: During rush hour - about 2 minutes; in the evening - about 10 minutes.

The Tbilisi Metro offers a fare payment system through MetroMoney plastic cards, which are also used on city buses.

  • MetroMoney cards are available at all metro stations at counters with MS+ symbols.
  • Card cost: 2 GEL (refundable deposit).
  • Trip price: 50 tetri.
  • One card can be used by several passengers.
  • The cards are valid on cable cars, but not on the funicular.
  • Please note: MetroMoney cards are valid only in Tbilisi.
