Amusement park in Samgorsky Park - a place where everything stopped forever

The abandoned amusement park, located on the Kakheti Highway in the Samgori district, was opened in 2007 and in just five years — in 2012 — it turned into an empty space of concrete pedestals and rusty carousels.

Once families came here, a fountain worked, music was played, shots from the shooting range and squeals from the rides. Today — unsanitary conditions, garbage and debris. All that remains are swings, an inflated trampoline, traces of a foundation and the creaking of wind in iron.

The park is not guarded. It is regularly visited by researchers, photographers and teenagers looking for post-apocalyptic landscapes. Some structures are being taken apart for scrap metal, and every year the area loses its shape.

How to find: the site is located near the Kakheti Highway, next to the new building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The coordinates indicate the entrance to the park. The abandoned rides are clearly visible even from the road.
