Abandoned cable car station "Nutsubidze - Lisi"

  • Description

The Nutsubidze-Lisi cable car began operating on August 4, 1978 and became a link between the residential area and Lake Lisi. Its length was 1112 meters, the trip took 3-4 minutes, and the cars could accommodate 25 passengers.

There were three supports on the line, and the cabins hovered over the hills of the capital, opening up breathtaking views. The lower station was located near the Delisi metro station - from here a leisurely journey to the water began.

Now this road is completely abandoned: the equipment has been looted, the cables have disappeared, the stations have collapsed. Only concrete skeletons and a dusty memory remain of the route. The territory is not guarded, part of the structure is overgrown with bushes. The remains of a concrete platform are visible from the hills near the lake.
