Abandoned Plant in Tabakhmela β A Secret Facility Absorbed by Time
- Description
The biotechnological plant, known as the "Biocombinat", is located in the village of Tabakhmela near Tbilisi. This classified facility from the 1960s was part of the USSR's industrial program and remained inaccessible to the general public for a long time.
On its territory there were workshops, administrative buildings, a bomb shelter, a canteen, residential buildings, garages and a substation. In the 90s, they tried to revive the plant as a vaccine production center, but by the early 2000s the enterprise finally closed.
Today, silence and devastation reign here: the buildings have been looted, the equipment has been destroyed, but the remains of Soviet industrial architecture are still of interest to stalkers and researchers.
The territory is partially guarded. There may be collapses inside, so be careful when visiting.
