  • Description

This mural, created by Collin van der Sluijs in 2019 as part of the Tbilisi Mural Fest project, reflects myths and natural motifs, intertwining fantasy images with real details. Vibrant colors and dynamic lines bring the composition to life, immersing the viewer in a world where birds and plants symbolize the unity of nature and culture. Against the background of rich shades of purple and burgundy, you can see a large bird with lush feathers, reminiscent of either a fairy-tale or mythical figure. It soars proudly, as if preparing to fly, which gives the mural a sense of movement.

The flora around the bird is reminiscent of wild nature, but at the same time stylized into fantastic images. These flowers and plants go beyond the usual forms, blooming in unusual shades that seem magical. Lightness and smoothness of lines create a feeling of harmony between the animal and plant worlds, and unusual textures enhance the effect of a mystical fairy tale.

Located at the entrance to the tunnel on the Kakutsa Cholokashvili Highway, not far from the Tbilisi Hippodrome , this mural becomes part of the urban space, combining contemporary art with Georgian legends and history.
