Mural "Hold Me Tight" (Tbilisi Mural Fest)

The mural titled “Hold Me Tight”, created by artist JDL as part of Tbilisi Mural Fest 2021, amazes with its monumentality and emotional depth. This work, about 60 meters high, stands out against the background of city buildings and is clearly visible from afar, making it one of the most noticeable landmarks of modern Tbilisi.

The main idea of ​​the mural is to convey to the viewer the charm of vulnerability and the fragility of human nature. The image of a girl curled up in a tight, protective cocoon of her arms reflects the internal struggle and need for protection and support. Combined with the majestic size, this image enhances the impression and makes us reflect on those moments in life when we feel weak and yearn for understanding.

The surrounding cityscapes, especially the night lights, create a contrast between the urban setting and the touching personal story that JDL has visualized.
