  • Description

This vibrant mural by artist Nasca1 (Germany) adorns the wall of a building in the Varketili district of Tbilisi. The image of a dancing feline (feline) is inspired by the ancient Georgian epic “The Knight in the Tiger Skin”. The figure of a panther playing with the sun represents the interaction of one of the most powerful visual metaphors of Georgia - the sun - and the symbol of strength and grace in the form of a large predator.

This mural appeared on the facade of the dance hall building school, which emphasizes its dynamics and smooth movement, as if the panther was really involved in the dance. The foliage of the trees growing in front of the building is seamlessly woven into the composition, creating a unique visual effect and making the image part of the surrounding landscape.

The work is also personal for the artist, who, with Peruvian roots, conveyed his feelings for the Andamese puma, an animal characteristic of his native places. Thus, the image symbolizes not only Georgian culture, but also the author’s love for the native fauna, combining elements of various cultures and landscapes.

This project was implemented spontaneously, in a short time , which gave him improvisational energy, but at the same time retained conceptual depth.
