The Georgian Automobile Federation, located in Tbilisi, plays a key role in the promotion and development of motorsport in the country. Founded on September 30, 2009, the Federation became a member of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) in 2010, receiving the status of a legislative organization in the field of motorsport. Since 2015, it has been the only organization recognized by the Georgian government that is involved in both professional and amateur motorsports. The Federation is responsible for the popularization of cars, road safety and competitions in Georgia.
One of its main tasks is the organization of republican and international automobile championships, tournaments and other competitions. It also issues international and national racing licenses, as well as licenses for domestic car competitions and motorsport zones. The Federation provides information on upcoming competitions, training and opportunities for participation in motorsport for young athletes and all interested parties. It is worth visiting the Federation to obtain licenses, information about events or to maintain contacts with the motorsport community in Georgia.
