Association for Medical Education and Evidence-Based Medicine
- Description
The Association of Medical Education and Evidence-Based Medicine in Tbilisi, formerly known as the Association of Postgraduate Education of Doctors of Georgia, was founded in September 2012. The organization strives to promote the improvement of the qualifications of Georgian doctors through postgraduate education, and also participates in legislative activities in the field of healthcare and medical education.
The Association actively protects the rights of doctors and patients, collaborating with local and international organizations that share similar goals. One of its areas of activity is publishing, including both printed and electronic publications.
The Association also participates in medical research both in Georgia and abroad, providing material and financial support for postgraduate education of doctors and helping participants in this process. The organization participates in the licensing and certification of doctors for public or private orders, conducts audits of the quality of medical care and education, and also promotes the expert activities of highly qualified specialists in the field of medical education and healthcare.
Headed by Professor Alexander Telia, the Association supports the creation of personalized scholarships and the encouragement of professional activities. This is a key place for doctors interested in improving their qualifications and wishing to contribute to the development of the medical sector in Georgia.
