Georgian restaurant "Racha" - lobio, khachapuri and a real atmosphere

Racha is a brutal basement tavern in the very center of Tbilisi, on Lado Asatiani Street. A place with character and history, where the walls breathe old Georgia, and wine flows not by the glass, but according to the mood. The atmosphere of the basement is warm, a little rough, but heartfelt to the limit.
The menu has everything you need to get acquainted with the real cuisine of Sakartvelo: lobio, prepared according to an old recipe, khachapuri "in the workshop style" with a crispy crust and golden filling, khinkali, shashlik, pkhali, homemade salads and aromatic shkmeruli. Everything is simple, home-style, without unnecessary gloss - but with the taste for which people return again and again.
Not only tourists gather here, but also those who know a lot about proper Georgian food. "Racha" is the perfect place to show your friends the real Tbilisi, celebrate a birthday with wine and khachapuri, or just hide from the bustle of the city in a basement where you will definitely be understood.
The restaurant is suitable for both warm family gatherings and noisy feasts - the main thing is to be prepared for generous portions and tastes that defy description. Just try it.

A no-frills spot with incredible food and speedy service. You won't find any frills or fancy decor here, but you will enjoy genuinely well-prepared Georgian dishes. I definitely suggest visiting. Keep in mind, it's cash only.

Отправился туда из-за рекомендаций как в местный грузинский ресторан. Место действительно аутентичное. Однако кассирша и официантка — абсолютно неприветливые и строгие, никакого дружелюбия от них не исходило. Заказ оформляется и оплачивается на кассе, и потом еду приносят к столу. Суп был вкусным, но мясо в нём оказалось сырым и жёстким, есть было невозможно. Зато заказанный хачапури порадовал, вкусный, с большим количеством сыра. Цены приемлемы, но впечатление портит недружелюбная атмосфера и качество сервиса.

This place has a classic vibe, with amazing food at reasonable prices. They keep things straightforward, which I really love. The staff speaks English, Georgian, and Russian. Plus, there's no annoying pop music, which is a huge positive for me.
