Ikano vineyards were planted in 2001, about 4000 plants per hectare, the yield of each crop was about 7000 kg per hectare. During harvesting, tender grapes are carefully selected by hand. Small wooden baskets with a capacity of 7-8 kg are used for transportation to the winery.
The vineyards are located in the Kindzmarauli microzone, between the Alazani and Duruji rivers in Kakheti. Due to the chernozem of the Duruji River, the temperature is 3-5 degrees higher than in the surrounding areas. Thus, grapes contain 23-28% sugar.
