The international organization "American Councils Georgia" in Tbilisi is a branch of the American Council for International Education in Georgia. Since its founding in the early 1990s, the organization has promoted cultural and educational exchange between Georgia and the United States. Every year, about 80 Georgian exchange students and several experts participate in programs led by American Councils, traveling to the United States to gain unique experience and knowledge.
The organization is also actively involved in exchange programs for American students and professionals coming to Georgia. Programs include language learning, research and professional skills development. One of the key initiatives is AC Study Abroad "Peace and Security in the South Caucasus."
American Councils Georgia also serves as a resource center for exchange program graduates and organizes regional meetings and annual conferences. The center also has a recognized Prometric test center and offers English language and test preparation courses. This makes the organization a significant link in the development of international cooperation and language training in the region.
