First Step Georgia, a non-governmental non-profit organization located in Tbilisi, was founded in 1998 to support children with disabilities. Throughout its history, the organization has played a significant role in the reform of the child care system in Georgia, actively participating in the processes of deinstitutionalization and integration of children into society. Under the leadership of founders Nino Zhvania-Kadagidze and Jane Ann Corboy, First Step Georgia has launched a variety of programs, including day centers and specialized educational services, that provide support to both children and their families.

The organization is known for its innovative approaches to early intervention and helping children with autistic disorders, actively introducing methods such as DIR/Floortime and ABA therapy. First Step Georgia also plays a key role in training social workers and specialists, developing professional standards at the state level.

Working with international and local partners such as UNICEF and various government agencies, First Step Georgia continues to expand its initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of children with disabilities and promoting an inclusive society.
