The Georgian Forwarders Association (AEA), located in Tbilisi, was founded on June 26, 1997. Since October 1, 1997, it has been a full member of the International Federation of National Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA). AEA operates as a public non-state non-entrepreneurial legal entity whose purpose is not to make a profit. Any profits from auxiliary business activities are used exclusively to support the work of the association secretariat.
The association owns property, has an independent balance sheet and current account in national and foreign currency, as well as the right to be a defendant and plaintiff in court. AEA plays a key role in supporting and developing freight forwarding activities in the region by providing information and support to its members. Potential participants in the field of transport logistics can contact the association to receive advice and establish business connections in Georgia and abroad.
