Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund of Georgia

The non-governmental non-profit organization Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB) is located in Tbilisi and is part of one of the largest and oldest German relief and welfare organizations, existing since 1888. The ASB operates as a politically and denominationally independent association, and has been actively involved in international aid since 1921. The office in Georgia is involved in the implementation of projects funded by the governments of the EU, Germany and the USA. These projects focus on inclusive disaster risk reduction, provision of social services, improvement of economic and living conditions, re-socialization of persons in conflict with the law, building confidence and providing humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons, conflict-affected populations and other vulnerable groups.
