The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED), based in Tbilisi, is a non-partisan, non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1995. The organization's main mission is to monitor elections to ensure transparency and strengthen public confidence in the results of the electoral process. The organization is actively involved in improving the electoral code, improving the political environment and protecting the rights of voters in Georgia.
ISFED has observed more than 20 elections in Georgia and has made a significant contribution to the democratization of the country. The organization operates through 6 regional branches and 73 district representatives, bringing together about 400 members. It annually holds a general meeting at which the composition of the board is updated and strategic directions of work are determined. The organization also carries out parallel counting of votes and election activity.
