  • Description

The non-profit association EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) in Tbilisi provides an important platform for promoting investment and trade between Georgia and the European Union. Founded in 2006 in Brussels by Georgian and European companies, the association opened its representative office in Tbilisi in 2013. The main objectives of EUGBC are to assist and advise its members in matters of doing business both in Georgia and in the EU. The association actively promotes business connections, overcoming regulatory barriers and improving market access.

EUGBC has a wide network of members representing industries such as oil and gas, banking, consulting, logistics, industry, media, trade, tourism, construction and small and medium-sized businesses. The association organizes a variety of events, including trade seminars, business forums and conferences, and interacts with high-level representatives of the Georgian government and EU institutions.

The Association Council consists of top managers of leading European and Georgian companies, which strengthens its role in the process of Georgia's integration into the EU. With the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement (AA/DCFTA), new opportunities are opening up for trade relations between Georgia and the EU. The EUGBC Secretary General is a member of the Investors Council, supported by the EBRD and chaired by the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Organizations and businesses interested in expanding their activities in the region can contact EUGBC for advice and support on the path to successful business development in the context of European-Georgian cooperation.
