The Samaritans Association of Georgia (SSK), located in Tbilisi, is a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization operating as a non-governmental organization (NGO). As part of the Samaritan International network, SSK strives to create a socially responsible society where the needs for safety, health and well-being are equally met.
The main goal of the Association is to improve the living conditions of people in need, using approaches of education, social services and sustainable structural change. Over the next five years, work will focus on topics such as social care, psychological and medical support, first aid training and disaster risk reduction.
The Samaritans Association works through direct service delivery, capacity building and advocacy. The organization's specialists are aimed at helping older people, people with disabilities, internally displaced people, children and the general public. SSK develops cooperation with the government of Georgia and other NGOs to effectively support socially vulnerable populations, overcome social discrimination and implement assistance programs.
