Network of Centers for Civic Engagement
- Description
The Network of Centers for Civic Engagement (NCCE) in Tbilisi is a network of ten centers located throughout Georgia that serve as platforms for democratic dialogue and civic engagement. Founded in 2016, this structure grew out of the USAID Centers for Democratic Engagement established in 2011, aimed at supporting citizens during the 2012 parliamentary elections.
Each NCCE center has facilities for holding meetings: a conference room for 70 people, a small hall for 10-15 people, computers with Internet access, a library with materials on governance and democracy. Through these resources, the centers can serve as meeting places for civil society, media, academics, political parties and businesses, providing a safe and neutral space for discussion and collaboration.
Use of the centers’ halls and resources can be booked through the website www.ncce.ge, which makes them accessible to a wide range of interested individuals and organizations. The Civic Engagement Center Network has earned a positive reputation for its efforts to strengthen democratic dialogue and address local issues. These centers are recommended for anyone interested in participating in democratic processes and fostering more open and constructive public dialogue.
