Institute for the Study of Nationalism and Conflict (ISNC)
- Description
The Institute for the Study of Nationalism and Conflict (ISNC) in Tbilisi is a research organization whose goal is to study the nature of conflicts and develop effective concepts for their peaceful resolution. Particular attention is paid here to the Georgian-Abkhaz and Georgian-Ossetian conflicts. The Institute was created by civil activists with experience in the field of conflict management and support for internally displaced persons, which gives special significance and competence to the activities of ISNC.
ISNC coordinates the activities of the Synergy network of non-governmental organizations, which unites 18 organizations that focus on the problems of internally displaced persons. This approach provides a unique exchange of experience, as resettled activists themselves are involved in finding solutions and improving conditions for displaced people.
The Institute for the Study of Nationalism and Conflict is an important source of knowledge and recommendations for researchers, politicians, organizations and anyone interested in the peaceful resolution of conflicts in Georgia and beyond. Visiting or collaborating with ISNC may be beneficial for those seeking knowledge and experience in the field of conflict transformation and working with community organizations.
