Georgian National Museum. Ucha Japaridze House Museum

The house-museum dedicated to the artist Uchi Japaridze was founded at the end of the XX century after the death of a talented figure, who is known as the winner of the Rustaveli Prize. At a young age, the young man studied at the Toidze Art Studio. Then he did not stop creating in his apartment, which served as his workshop, where the museum is now located.
Among the creative achievements of Japaridze, his works “Friends of Youth” and “Mother's Thoughts” stand out, he also taught at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts, for which he was awarded the Order of Lenin. The museum has preserved the graphic achievements of the author, his personal belongings, tools and antiques, which will be interesting to see for every connoisseur of painting.
The working atmosphere of the artist and the works help visitors to get acquainted and feel the culture of Georgia. The museum offers guided tours in English and Russian.
